8.2 Typical Application - Edge Detector

In this application, the TPUL2G123 is used to detect rising or falling edges on an input signal, producing short pulses at the output for each edge detected. The circuit configuration for a rising edge detector is shown in Figure 8-1. For a falling edge detector, connect the input signal to the T input instead of the T input, and connect the T input to VCC. Otherwise, the components and configuration are identical.
