6-person occupancy detection using TI mmWave for in-cabin automotive spaces

Today’s in-cabin market has multiple needs for occupancy detection through radar, for smarter monitoring. This need is expanding into the bus and van space to detect and identify occupants for space capacity. TI’s AWR6843AOP mmWave sensors have the capability to detect and identify six people at a time in large spaces and vehicles. Mounted in the overhead space allows the sensors to detect across various rows, and because of their small form factor and the fact that they can sense through materials, they are non-intrusive and easily integrated into vehicular systems.
