The demand for higher power density power supplies continues to increase rapidly for battery chargers and more, traditionally resorting to a LCC architecture to support wide VOUT. TI's UCC25660 is the next generation of high frequency LLC controllers, resonating up to 750-kHz and introduces IPPC, enabling wide input and wide output operation. The burst mode algorithm is also new as it completely avoids the audible range while enhancing light load efficiency.
