What does the status of tax certificate mean?

These are the current status definitions for tax certificates:

• Active – The certificate is active with an expiration date after the current date.
• Pending – The certificate has been submitted and is pending validation.
• Incomplete – An issue exists with the submitted certificate and the customer will receive an email of an incomplete reason and instructions on how to resubmit a certificate.
• Review – The certificate has been submitted, but it requires a manual review that is still in process.
• Expired – The certificate is expired. Note: Customer will receive up to 3 email notifications on 45/30/15 days before the existing certificate expiration date.
