Exceeding standards in environmental and product stewardship
How TI is contributing to environmental progress
Texas Instruments (TI) has a comprehensive approach to environmental and product stewardship that includes all aspects of its operations. We go beyond simply doing what is required by rule or regulation with respect to restricted chemicals and materials (RCMs) in TI IC products.
Product stewardship - Restricted Chemicals and Materials (RCM) program
TI has established a Restriced Chemical and Materials (RCM) program in accordance with IEC QC 080000 requirements as part of its product stewardship initiative. This program encompasses the management for first-tier suppliers, the interanl manufacturing processes for materials incorporated into finished products, data collection, appropriate testing and reporting, management reviews and timely updates to reflect the latest legislative and customer requirements.
Product-specific material content
For information related to a specific product's RoHS, REACH and Green compliance status, as well as detailed material content or restricted chemical test reports, use TI's Material content search tool. The results can be downloaded in Excel format, which includes a direct link to TI's signed EU RoHS Material Declaration Certificate.
Lead-free (Pb-free) conversion
Due to global concerns regarding environmentally restricted chemicals and materials (RCM), lead (Pb) has been identified as one of the major substances of concern. The semiconductor and electronics industries are increasingly focused on developing lead-free devices in electronic components and systems. Texas Instruments (TI) is dedicated to collaborating with customers to provide products that meet their specific requirements in this area.
