Overview

The automotive media hub is the interface system that connects external media or internal media to the vehicles infotainment system, including data, audio and video from various inputs such as USB, HDMI, audio jacks and SSD cards. Our integrated circuits, reference designs and products enable you to create solutions that are small, maintain signal integrity and reduce thermal dissipation.

Design requirements

Automotive media hub designs require:

  • The ability to account for the evolving data types in the vehicle.
  • Consideration of increased data rates causing higher board layout complexity.
  • Overcoming signal degradation.
