The Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) exciter Evaluation Module (EVM), also referred to as EISEXCEVM-104 or BMS104, offers users the capability to evaluate the EIS functionality of TI's BQ79826Z-Q1 device as an accessory attachment EVM to the BQ79826QEVM-086 evaluation module. The BQ79826Z-Q1 device integrates an electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurement engine for in-system cell operation diagnostics and early cell failure detection. This device is primarily used in automotive battery packs, industrial and comercial energy storage systems (ESS), and cell monitoring applications with advanced diagnostic capabilities for functional safety enabled systems. Combined, both of these EVMs provide full EIS evaluation and testing on small to large battery cells or cell packs regardless of the cell chemistry.
