48V Input Dual Synchronous Buck Converter (6V@2.3A and 28V@2.5A) Reference Design

This dual synchronous buck  supplies 6V @ 2.3A and 28V @ 2.5A from a 36V to 51V input. This converter was optimized to provide high efficiency in a small footprint for 48V rail applications.

  • Low cost and small area (40mm x 60mm)
  • Very good efficiency (28V output is 96%, 6V is 86%, at full load and 48Vin)
  • Output 1 and output 2 startup sequencing
