Overview

This reference design uses the 60V, 3.5A LM76003 synchronous buck converter in an inverting buck-boost configuration to generate a variable negative output voltage. Dynamic variation of the output voltage allows use in applications requiring different output voltages without having to make component changes on the board.  The design features a large ground plane to dissipate heat and improve thermal performance, while tightly coupled capacitors keep critical signal loops tight.
