The TIDA-00503 refrence design is a SEPIC mode LED driver design for automotive backlight applications with 2 or 3 LEDs in series. SEPIC enables VIN both above and below VOUT. The LED driver operates at a switching frequency of 2.2MHz for a small overall footprint and all components are limited to <3mm in height.

  • Wide VIN range 4.5-40V
  • Dimming ratio 10000:1 @ 200Hz PWM
  • Small solution size enabled by 2.2 MHz operation
  • Flexible support for different LED configurations
  • EMI mitigation with optional spread spectrum and external sync

A fully assembled board has been developed for testing and performance validation only, and is not available for sale.
