The TIDA-050052 reference design is a 3-V to 17-V VIN voltage buck converter reference design using the TPS62903 for applications that have a very limited design space. The reference design steps down the input voltage to 1.2-V VOUT and is capable of delivering up to 3-A of load with high-efficiency and low-quiescent current. The inductor used in this design is a 1-μH inductor with about 48-mΩ DCR. The total solution size including all external components is 25-mm2, allowing highly efficient DC/DC conversion, small solution size with the lowest operating quiescent current (IQ) in the industry.
