The TPA2000D2, is a stereo Class-D audio power amplifier and the first device in TI's new family of filter-free Class-D audio amplifiers. The TPA2000D2 has an output power of 2-Watts RMS or of 4-Watts peak into 4 Ohm speakers. By eliminating the need for bulky LC output filters, TI's new audio power amplifier enables designers to reduce board space and lower overall system costs by 40 percent while still maintaining the high efficiency associated with Class-D amplifiers.
