Overview

The TPS61378Q1EVM-060 allows you to evaluate the TPS61378-Q1 fully-integrated synchronous boost converter with optional load disconnect function. The device is suitable as a post-boost for automotive applications, boosting from a regulated 3.3-V or 5-V rail with a programmable current limit up to 4.8 A and maximum 18.5-V output voltage. It supports an input voltage from 2.3 V to 14 V and has 25-µA low quiescent current.

The TPS61378-Q1 has all key features required for automotive applications including maximum 2.2-MHz switching frequency, spread spectrum option, external clock synchronization, selectable auto-PFM or FPWM mode, hiccup mode over-current protection, and 175 C thermal shutdown.
