TX7516EVM
TX7516 evaluation module for 16-channel five-level transmitter
TX7516EVM
Overview
The TX7516 evaluation module (EVM) evaluates the performance and features of the TX7516, which is a highly-integrated high-performance transmitter solution for ultrasound imaging systems. TX7516 has a total of 16 pulser circuits, 16 transmit/receive switches, and supports on-chip beamforming.
TX7516EVM has an built-in current-sensing circuit that can be used to evaluate power dissipation when the TX7516 is operating in different modes. The EVM provides a programmable low-jitter beamforming clock up to 320 MHz to the TX7516. TX7516EVM comes with a GUI that can be used to monitor the device power, program the TX7516 memory/registers, and change the beamforming clock frequency.
Features
- Transmit high-voltage pulses with 320-MHz beamforming clock speed
- Onboard power sensing for all power supplies
- Access to all TX7516 registers
- Self-test mode to generate predefined transmit patterns without requiring a USB connection
