Hitek Systems's embedded System On Module (SOM) features Altera's Agilex 5 E-series FPGA and TI's wireless transceiver, the AFE7769D, and is connected over FMC+. What’s unique about this development kit is its small form factor – 60mm x 60mm – which is intentionally designed for high performance solutions that have strict size constraints. This “micro” SOM targets a variety of communications applications; DAS, repeaters, small cells, and more. While this is an integrated development kit, both chips possess flexible capabilities. The eSOM5u offers exceptional scalability and design flexibility for a wide range of radio architectures and use cases. By combining Altera's programmable logic, TI's high-performance analog front end, and Hitek Systems' embedded design expertise, this development kit is built to help customers create more efficient, compact, and cost-effective 5G solutions – and expedite production.
