Survey of step-down regulator control architectures

00:54:04 | 05 NOV 2014
TI offers a variety of control architectures for non-isolated TPS and LM switching DC/DC converters and controllers. Each control scheme is used to solve a certain power supply issue, and is met with trade-offs. This video will go over each control mode’s operation and switching characteristics, and address the advantages and limitations in certain use cases and impact on other power supply characteristics, such as transient response, light load efficiency and current limiting, when applicable.
