Fast-Charging trends and challenges for single-cell batteries using high input voltage

00:45:20 | 22 JAN 2016

As functionality of portable devices increase, the need for improved battery capacity grows. Larger batteries can mean longer charge time, but users demand less charge time or the ability to charge the battery more fully within a charge. A traditional 5V USB adapter with limited input power cannot satisfy fast-charging demands. As system designers implement new high-voltage adapters, new challenges arise. In this session we discuss these challenges and provide possible design solutions.
