Hundreds of millions mechanical water meters are deployed around the world today. Electronic add-on adapters with flow measurement and wireless communications in Sub-1 GHz or 2.4 GHz are becoming the solution for making these water meters "smart" or be the basis for newly developed fully electronic meters with impellers.
