This training provides an introduction to the hardware and software elements of boot time design in embedded systems for Sitara processors. For hardware, the video covers the role of boot modes, Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMIC), and Processor Operating Performance Points (OPP). For software, it shows the advantages of Falcon mode in the MLO/SPL of the U-Boot code base. Device tree source files, user space choice, and techniques to reduce kernel initialization time are also covered.
