Trends in the factory automation space demand that designers fit more channels in a smaller space. This means that systems are getting more dense, designers have to manage the system thermals better due to the need for high reliability, and efficiency is extremely important.

The TI Design TIPD215 addresses some of the key challenges by using a highly integrated quad channel 4-20mA and voltage output DAC with integrated adaptive power management. In addition, we will also discuss a reference design used to pass IEC61000-4 suite of tests.
