Many industrial systems require isolation for protection. TI provides several different isolation solutions for this problem. We will discuss the trade-offs of the different ways to provide this isolation, with the focus on isolated gate drivers which combine the safety isolation and MOSFET/IGBT gate driver into one device for easy of use and cost-optimized solution.
