Industry standards such as Code of Conduct (CoC) Tier II and Department of Energy (DOE) Level VI mandate standby power performance. In this presentation, we will discuss sources of power loss in the AC to DC power supply subsystem that contribute to high standby power and how low power modes can be utilized to not only reduce standby power but also system cost without sacrificing system performance.
