High Voltage Contactor Control

00:48:08 | 28 SEP 2020
The terms ‘High-voltage relay’ and ‘high-voltage contactor’ are used interchangeably and often without distinction for EV/HEV switches. Both terms designate an electromechanical switching device, working on the same physical principle, where a coil is used to generate a magnetic force that mechanically operates an electric contact.  This session aims to review the operating principles of various contactors, and describes the solutions that TI has available to meet these various requirements.
