In this lecture, we will learn:
- The amount of energy stored in a component is an easy metric to get a sense of physical size.
- Energy storage for inductors in pulse width modulated converters is a function of the ripple ration or the inductance value.
- Boundary conduction mode offers the minimum energy storage without excessing root mean squared current.
