In this lecture, we will learn:
- Stability constrains and performance optimization imply that an optimized loop gain T(s) looks like a single integrator.
- Minor deviations can improve performance, but major deviations imply instability or major gain/bandwidth sacrifices.
- An extra pole at 3 – 10 times crossover frequency helps protect from unmodeled dynamics and noise.
