Power density and flexibility using TI dual output power modules and eFuses

This short video demonstrates how TPS2597, 7-A eFuse in 2mm x 2mm package, can be used for a wide range of bus voltages to provide power path protection. It  also shows the high power density and high efficiency of the 70-A multiphase power module TPSM8D6C24 with PMBus. Here three TPS2597 eFuses are connected at the input of the TPSM8D6C24 modules. All the system parameters can be monitored and adjusted through the GUI. It is demonstrated that when there is a short at the output of the TPS2597, it removes the voltage source from the TPSM8D6C24 module safely and restores the voltage once the fault is removed. This demonstrates how TPS2597 and TPSM8D6C24 can be used in high power density and high-efficiency communications, enterprise, or industrial applications.
