ABOUT THIS TRAINING

In DC EV Charging systems, there are two main building blocks; AC/DC and isolated DC/DC power conversion. To support V2G or V2H, these topologies must operate bi-directionally in the future. In addition, and, to solve the challenge of optimizing size and efficiency, it’s important to consider moving from two-level topologies to multi-level topologies as well.

In this presentation we will explain:

  • Why move from a 2-level topology to a 3-level topology.
  • Which are the most common PFC Inverter stages.
  • The operating principles for the three-level: T-type, ANPC NPC and flying capacitor converter.
