The LP-AM243 LaunchPad evaluation boards are built for BoosterPack expansion to quickly enable smart, precise motor drive applications. Connecting and controlling one or two brushless DC motors is simplified with support for interfacing with the motor drive IC, collecting position data from rotary encoders, and communicating back to the application processor with industrial Ethernet protocols. The PHYTEC Plotter is an industrial machine built around the phyBOARD-AM64x development kit and phyGATE-AM243x application kit, both based on the phyCORE-AM64x SOM, to communicate over EtherCAT for controlling three motors and transmitting sensor data back from the microcontroller to the processor. The phyBOARD-AM64x, acting as a system controller and gateway, connects the industrial machine to the cloud for running predictive maintenance algorithms.
