Addressing current sensing design challenges in EVs with Flex

00:08:24 | 22 MAY 2025

Silicon carbide is an exciting technology that offers many advantages in automotive onboard chargers and DC/DC converters. We collaborated with Flex to address current sensing design challenges and tradeoffs faced in these applications. Hear from Mark Ng, Director of Automotive Systems and Andreas Heim, Vice President of Engineering for Automotive at Flex on the various short-circuit protection methods for SiC power MOSFETs including shunt-based, desaturation, and hall-effect current sensing.
