Gauge performance is often poorly defined, which can negatively impact measurement accuracy. This presentation will address the predictive nature of gauges and how battery gauges can be evaluated and optimized for performance. We will explain how system behavior and cell modeling impact accuracy and how to fine-tune gauges for a particular application to predict cell capacity with reasonable accuracy.
