Power Supply Recommendations

The power supply for applications using the TPS61177A device must be big enough considering output power and efficiency at a given input voltage condition. Minimum current requirement condition is (VOUT × IOUT)/(VIN × efficiency), and TI recommends a minimum current that is approximately 20% to 30% higher than this value.
