8.2.2 Detailed Design Procedure

For this design example, the 3.3-V, fixed-version device is selected. The device is powered of a DC/DC converter connected to a battery. A 750-mV headroom between VIN and VOUT is used to keep the device within the dropout voltage specification and to ensure the device stays in regulation under all load and temperature conditions for this design.
