Head-up display integrated circuits and designs


An automotive head-up display (HUD) displays information to the driver at the driver’s eye level. This allows the driver to continue looking at the road while getting speed and other information. The HUD display is either projected on a section of the windshield or on a transparent surface between the driver and the windshield. More sophisticated HUDs are used to create the appearance of an overlay on the road for turn-by-turn navigation. The HUD information is typically provided by the cluster. TI has the technology to power, connect and create the HUD display.

  • Optical light sensors control dimming to improve display clarity in dynamic lighting environments
