Multi Function Relay

Protection Relay - Special Function

Some high end protection relays carry out multiple functions including data acquisition, to provide isolation and interfacing to the process bus. They are designed to implement almost all of the functionalities needed to protect and control the equipment that they’re monitoring. TI reference designs and semiconductors:

  • Showcase analog front ends that leverage amplifiers and data converters to accurately and reliably measure current and voltage inputs
  • Cover a variety of reliable, low-latency, interface options for communicating to the back end
  • Recommend techniques for power supply and signal isolation compatible with industry standards
