Overview

The DS90Ux984-Q1EVM is an evaluation module for evaluating the DS90Ux984-Q1 FPD-Link IV to embedded displayport deserializer.  The DS90Ux984-Q1 supports ultra-high-definition resolutions including 4K with 30 bits per pixel at 60 Hz. The output DP/eDP interface is compatible with embedded displayport and displayport v1.4 with speeds up to 8.1 Gbps per lane and the FPD-Link interface supports up to 13.5 Gbps per channel in FPD-Link IV mode or up to 3.675 Gbps per channel in FPD-Link III mode. The FPD-Link interconnect of the DS90Ux984-Q1EVM is an automotive Rosenberger highspeed modular twisted pair data (H-MTD) connector.

  • AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications
  • Supports up to 8.1 Gbps per lane DP/eDP output, up to 3.675 Gbps for FPD-Link III, and up to 13.5 Gbps for FPD-Link IV
  • Onboard I2C addresses and mode select configuration setting
  • FPD-Link IV input and daisy-chain output over Rosenberger H-MTD connector and configurable to SMA connector by changing AC coupling capacitor orientation.
  • Includes on-board I2C controller (USB2ANY)
  • Samtec QSH-type connectors to interface DP or eDP daughter card
