The LM63460EVM-2MHZ high-density evaluation module (EVM) is designed to showcase the performance of the LM63460-Q1 high-performance, automotive synchronous buck DC/DC converter. The EVM operates over a wide input voltage range of 5.5 V to 36 V to deliver a fixed 5-V output with better than 1% setpoint accuracy and up to 6-A output current. Several features to ensure protection of the regulator during fault conditions include undervoltage lockout (UVLO), internal soft start, hiccup-mode overcurrent protection (OCP), an open-drain PGOOD indicator, and thermal shutdown. Spread-spectrum frequency modulation is provided by default with the LM63460-Q1. In addition, the LM63460-Q1 has resistor-adjustable switching frequency as well as SYNC IN functionality to adjust the freqeuncy to that of an external clock signal.
