This reference design is for an input voltage range from 6V to 18V and is able to handle surge up to 40V. The output voltage is 12V with 250mA maximum output current.  This reference design needs no opto-isolator due to primary side regulation and therefore no aging trouble of the opto-isolator.

  • Additional undervoltage lockout prevents large input currents
  • Small transformer due to discontinuous mode
  • Fine dynamic behavior
