Increase driver situational awareness by labeling real world objects directly in the view of the driver

Head-up displays project critical driving information directly into the driver’s field of view improving driver reaction times and situational awareness. Vehicle information such as speed, speed limit, navigation cues and advanced safety features such as lane departure and collision warnings can be displayed. AR HUDs support longer projection distances, labeling real world objects for quicker reaction times and easier navigation.

  • Superior image quality

DESIGN TOOLS AND SIMULATION

Project cluster information onto to the windscreen, eliminating the need for the driver to take his or her eyes of the road

Leveraging recent advancements in holography and windscreen film integration techniques, car manufactures now have the option of projecting cluster information directly onto the windscreen via a small DLP projector located in the dash of the vehicle. For large displays, holographic windscreen clusters take up less than 1/10th the space of a traditional head-up display.

  • Small packaging volume (< 1 liter projector)
  • LED illumination with laser color gamut performance
  • Projector placement flexibility
  • No windscreen wedge needed to remove the double image
  • Bright (>15k cd/m2), full color display

Project point of interest, commerce and other passenger-relevant information directly onto the window

Using DLP projector technology any interior glass surface can be turned into a display.  Example applications include rear passenger infotainment displays, panoramic roof display, and front passenger and driver infotainment displays.

Key advantages of interior window displays include:

  • Multiple window film technologies available
  • Holographic displays are only viewable from inside the vehicle
  • Can be combined with touch sensing to create a fully interactive display
  • When not in use, window looks and performs like a standard window

Mobility services can increase monthly revenue by running location based advertisement campaigns

Geo-targeted advertisement campaigns are an exciting new opportunity for mobility service providers to add additional revenue to their existing business model. Location-based-advertisement allows marketers to target customers when they are within a certain geographical area or distance from a retail location. Messaging can be tailored based on location, time of day, driving routes, and even weather.

  • Multiple window film technologies available
  • Increased gas mileage and reduced road noise vs roof top advertising
  • When not in use, window looks and performs like a standard window

Turn any window in the car into a vehicle-to-vehicle or vehicle-to-pedestrian display.

Using a DLP projector and windscreen film, car OEMs can turn any window into an external facing display that can be used for vehicle to vehicle (V2V) or vehicle to pedestrian communication (V2C). For example, the back window could be used to alert traffic to slow down due to an upcoming accident.

Key advantages of windscreen communication include:

  • Multiple window film technologies available
  • Supports autonomous vehicle communication
  • High lumen DLP projectors options available
  • When not in use, window looks and performs like a standard window
