Device Functional Modes

All control inputs are referenced to VCCA and must be driven to a valid Logic High or Logic Low (that is, not floating) for proper device operation and to prevent excessive power consumption. Table 7-1 summarizes the possible modes of device operation based on the configuration of the control inputs.

Table 7-1 Function Table
CONTROL INPUTS(1)SIGNAL DIRECTION
OEDIR1DIR2Bits 1:4Bits 5:8
HXXDisabled (Hi-Z)
LLLB to A
LLHB to AA to B
LHLA to B
LHHA to BB to A
Input circuits of the data I/Os are always active and must be driven to a valid logic level.
