7.2.2.1 Selecting HI and LI Low Pass Filter Components (RHI, RLI, CHI, CLI)

It is good practice to add a small RC filter between the PWM controller and input pin of the UCC278X4-Q1 to filter the high frequency noise, like RHI/CHI and RLI/CLI which is shown in Figure 7-1.

Such a filter should use a RHI/RLI in the range of 10Ω to 100Ω and a CHI/CLI between 10pF and 330pF. In the example, a RHI/RLI = 49.9Ω and a CHI/CLI = 33pF are selected.
