Achieving Increased Output Current

After proper system configuration, multiple BQ2575x, BQ2582x, or BQ2585x-Q1 devices can be connected in parallel to operate together to increase the total available output current. Figure 3-1 shows this capability using two BQ25756 devices configured to provide a total charge current of 40A. The measured output currents show both devices contributing to the total charge current while maintaining the regulated output voltage. Additional devices can be added to further increase the available output current based on the requirements of the system.
