9 Power Supply Recommendations

The BQ25188 requires the adapter or IN supply to be between 3.3 V and 18 V . The battery voltage must be higher than 3.15 V or VBATUVLO to ensure proper operation. Higher input voltages result in higher input dissipation. Due to thermal considerations, higher input voltages should only be used for high impedance sources, with lower current limitations. Increased charging currents and system loads require decreased input voltages.
