Fast and reliable overcurrent and short circuit protection is important to protect the catastrophic break down of the SiC MOSFET and IGBT modules, and improve the system reliability. The UCC21711-Q1 features a state-of-art overcurrent and short circuit protection, which can be applied to both SiC MOSFET and IGBT modules with various detection circuits.
