7.1 Application Information

The TMUXHS4446-Q1 crosspoint switch (Xbar) enables routing for USB 3.2 and DisplayPort 2.1 signals through USB type C ports. In automotive applications, this allows customers to use Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ in the USB-PD modules throughout the vehicle. The device supports one lane of USB 3.2 Gen2 and two channels of DP2.1 UHBR10, or 4 channels of DP 2.1 UHBR10, while the AUX ± channels switch the USB sideband pins (SBU1/2).
