The Device Settings tab allows the user to change device level settings that are not specific to one channel of the device. Additionally in the Device Settings tab, adjust ADC configurations and outputs, including per channel values.
Note there are several instances of duplicate controls that are shown in both the Command Center tab and other tabs, such as the Device Settings tab. For example, the Low Power Mode Exit Current can be set and is displayed in both. These items are linked and update based on the most recent selection regardless of what tab the user are in.
Figure 3-7 Device ViewFrom here, the user can select and change any setting in the General box and the corresponding device setting change. Additionally, this tab contains ADC configurations and temperature sensing functions.
The user can use the Configuration Per Channel section for individual controls that relate to the ADC, DI pin control, and low-power mode.
ADC values update when pressing the Refresh button. The Configuration per Channel section this displays the raw ADC code value and the converted code value using the datasheet equations. The TM4C ADC: VIMON1 and TM4C ADC: VIMON2 are the values reported directly from the TPS12S24F-Q1 analog VIMON pins and sent to the on-board TM4C MCU. The values displayed are also the converted ADC value in volts. The VIMON1 and VIMON2 outputs are used as a design example to showcase possible connections reading from the device internal ADC or externally using the analog VIMON outputs.
Confirm that the design of the VIMON output includes the correct GAIN settings to establish that the VIMON voltage does not exceed TM4C 3.3V.
