Recovery Action

After an alarm is triggered, user must take appropriate action depending on the type of alarm. If the alarm is an SEU alarm, AFE hardware reset must mitigate the upset event allowing one to continue with the ongoing operation. After the reset is done, the user must reload configuration and re-bringup the device followed by the steps to get the diagnostic space firmware up.

While, in case of a SEFI alarm, power cycle is needed to recover the component in addition to the recovery steps mentioned above for SEU and as illustrated in Figure 7-1.
