The TAS5802 is a 2×22 W digital input Class-D audio amplifier for driving loudspeakers used in consumer, commercial, and industrial electronics. The device is highly flexible, allowing operation with a range of control methods, power supply configurations, and audio I/O arrangements.

The TAS5802 high-performance closed-loop architecture and wide-switching frequency range reduce the solution size by reducing passive components and eliminating the inductor + capacitor (LC) filters in most applications. Advanced electromagnetic interference (EMI) reduction techniques allow excellent electromagnetic compliance (EMC) performance, even when used with ferrite bead + capacitor (BC) filters. Several power consumption methods have been implemented to minimize idle power consumption (IPC).
