ADTEC-3P-STRESSSENSOR
AD-TEC active magnetoelastic stress sensor for steel featuring DRV425
ADTEC-3P-STRESSSENSOR
Overview
AD-TEC GmbH offers an active magnetoelastic stress sensing solution for structural health monitoring and load measurement in any ferromagnetic steel component, using TI's DRV425 fluxgate magnetometer as the precision field sensing front end. The AD-TEC stress sensor creates an oscillating magnetic field on the steel element and measures the magnetoelastic response to applied mechanical stress, enabling non-contact, continuous monitoring of load, fatigue and structural integrity without strain gauges, surface preparation or adhesive bonding. Applications include rail infrastructure, bridge decks, crane booms, pipeline monitoring and any ferromagnetic steel structure requiring continuous stress monitoring. An evaluation kit including a pre-adjusted steel sample, DRV425-based sensor assembly and M12 connector pinout is available for order from AD-TEC to enable rapid design evaluation and system integration.
