CIRCUIT060007

Low-side bidirectional current-sensing circuit

CIRCUIT060007

Overview

This single-supply, low-side, bidirectional, current-sensing solution can accurately detect load currents from –1 A to 1 A. The linear range of the output is from 110 mV to 3.19 V. Low-side current sensing keeps the common-mode voltage near ground, and is thus most useful in applications with large bus voltages.

Features
  • Single 3.3V supply with mid-supply reference
  • Input: -100mV to 100mV
  • Output: 110mV to 3.19V
  • Senses input current from -1A to 1A
  • Gain: 15.5V/V
