Description
This reference design helps achieve low-cost, high-speed, small form-factor and high resolution for programmable logic controller (PLC) analog output module designs based on sequentially multiplexed sample and hold buffers.

- Multiplexed 8 output channels module: 4 channels voltage output; 4 channels current output
- Single 16 bit DAC (DAC8760)
- Effective resolution: voltage output 15 bit; current output 14 bit
- Configurable output range: voltage output: ±10V, 0-10V, ±5V, 0-5V; current output: 0-20mA, 4-20mA, 0-24mA
- Uncalibrated output accuracy: ±0.2% FS @ 25 °C; ±0.5% FS over -40°C to 85°C Battery Voltage Monitor
- Scan time: 6ms for 8 channels (conversion time: 750 μs/channel)
